Privacy Policy

Last updated July 30, 2026

This page is maintained by SparkBloom to explain what we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have. It describes our current practices and is not an independent audit or certification.

What we collect

  • Account data: email address and authentication identifiers (including Google sign-in, if you use it).
  • Profile data you provide during onboarding: life roles, employment status, age or life stage, children's age ranges and gender, preferred sources, timezone, and reminder time.
  • Usage data: the sparks generated for you, favorites, thumbs up/down feedback, and private notes you write.
  • Billing data: subscription status and identifiers from our payment processor. We never see or store your full card number.
  • Technical data: basic log and error information needed to keep the app running.

Why we use it

  • To personalize your daily reflection to your roles and season of life — this is the core purpose of the profile data.
  • To maintain your account, history, streaks, and reminders.
  • To process subscriptions and provide support.
  • To diagnose errors and improve content quality.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your notes for advertising.

Service providers

We rely on a small set of processors to run SparkBloom: our hosting and database/auth platform (which stores your account and entries), an AI provider that generates the reflection text from the prompt we send, our payment processor (Stripe) for subscriptions, and email delivery for account messages. Profile attributes are included in AI prompts to personalize content; your name, email, and notes are not used to train third-party models by us.

Cookies and local storage

We use cookies and browser storage that are necessary for signing in and remembering your session and preferences. See the Cookie Policy for details.

Retention

We keep your account data and entry history for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we remove your profile, entries, notes, and feedback from our live systems; limited billing records are retained where required by law, and routine backups age out on their normal cycle.

Your choices and rights

  • Update or correct your profile at any time in Settings.
  • Turn reminder notifications off in Settings or in your browser/device settings.
  • Request a copy of your data, or request deletion, by emailing support@sparkbloom.app.
  • Depending on where you live (for example the EEA, UK, or California), you may have additional rights to access, correct, delete, or object to processing. We honor these requests regardless of location.

Children

SparkBloom is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. Age ranges you provide about your own children are treated as your profile context, not as a child's account.

Security

Access to your data is restricted per-account by database row-level security, traffic is encrypted in transit, and payment card data is handled entirely by our payment processor. No service can promise perfect security; if a breach affects your data, we will notify affected users as required by law.

Changes and contact

We will update the date at the top when this policy changes. Reach us at support@sparkbloom.app.
